Self Portrait Painting - Time Lapse
I haven't done much painting in ages so I really wanted to do something and I've made it into a short video to watch on YouTube! Take a look...

The disgusting world of self-promotion
My last blog post was pretty much a complete self promotion post. It was a little disgusting. Made me feel sick to the core that anyone needs to do such a thing. Having said that, I'm going to do almost the same thing in this post but be a little more interesting about it.
So now that I have been blunt and told you the raw truth about what this blog post is going to be about, lets get straight into it!
At the end of the day, if you can't self promote then you won't get anywhere. Unless you spam, in which case you don't deserve to get anywhere.
Well, I'm just going to quickly put it out there that it would be great if you could like my Facebook page HERE and subscribe to my YouTube channel HERE.
There! Done. That wasn't too bad. Like quickly ripping off a plaster (band aid).
So basically, I'm hoping exciting stuff will happen where I can start creating masterpieces and prints of those masterpieces and sell them to all of the world. The best place to keep up with this is on Facebook and I would just love all the support I can get.
Okay thanks for reading this.

More Charity Shopping/Thrift Shopping!
Yes, I am addicted to charity shopping. There are always hidden gems in those shops as long as you dig deep enough! My blog posts about the charity shop hauls are always popular so without further ado...
I love crochet things at the moment. I'm not sure what it is about them but I love the style. They can be layered and worn in so many different ways. This top is from Fat Face and was such great value I couldn't leave it in the shop.
I have been keeping an eye out for any shirt that looks smart and can be worn tucked into anything like shorts, skirts, trousers. I would like a shirt with a collar as well because then it can be worn under jumpers but this is a quirky alternative for without a jumper/cardigan.
I have always wanted a nice blazer to dress up any outfit but haven't found the right one. I saw this and, although it doesn't look great on the model, it is really nice on. It's a little longer falling just below the bum but still a slim fit.
Okay. This really didn't photograph well. It's got some really nice colours in it. I'm actually planning on doing a DIY with this so hopefully I'll post the photos of that on here!
The snazziest buy of the day! Couldn't resist getting this shirt and I knew an outfit that it would go great with, including a cute knitted and fur gilet that I got a couple of weeks ago.
So that's a quick post on the few things that I bought!
Bye for now! :) xx

What's in my bag?
I have seen posts like this on many blogs and in vlogs on YouTube and, being the nosey person that I am, I love to have a good look into what people have in their bags so, I thought I'd post the junk that accumulates in mine!
My bag is from TK Maxx made by Dune. My mum bought it me for Christmas. We had been shopping one day, saw it and I fell in love but knew I didn't need it so left it for someone else. My mum had sneakily gone back the next day and bought it as my present and I'm so glad she did because I love it. It's such a gorgeous colour and, as all my bags need to be, acts like a Tardis with the amount of room inside it.
And finally, the general junk:
I hope you liked this different style of post!

It's such a gorgeous colour and, as all my bags need to be, acts like a Tardis with the amount of room inside it.
So I think the pictures are pretty self explanatory but I will give you a little detail about some of the things in my bags;
- The fabric shopping bag is always shoved at the bottom of my bag for when I'm out charity shopping and I decide that it would be a good idea to save the planet and use my own reusable bag rather than getting a plastic bag everywhere I go.
- My glasses get very lost at the bottom of my bag and are rarely worn. They are tortoise shell on the out side with a sea blue on the inside. They're by Charles Stone and my mum has the smaller, more rectangle lens frame. I wouldn't have let her get the same but I helped her choose hers not realising I was getting some new ones too so had already told her to pick the other pair just because they're so nice.
- The book that is currently being battered around in bag so I can pick it up to read wherever I am is 'Notes from a Small Island' by Bill Bryson. It was recommended to me by my mother (who I am mentioning far too often in this blog post) as a funny read about Bill Bryson's, an american, points of view on the British. I haven't read a lot but you may hear about it in February's book review post, as long as I don't get bored and actually read enough books to post about!
- The quirky patterned book carefully placed on top of the above book is my 2015 diary. It's in disguise by not looking at all like a diary. I picked it up from TK Maxx and I love that it's a bit different.
- My grey Kipling purse was bought for me for Christmas from my boyfriend. Not the 2014 Christmas just gone, but the previous 2013 Christmas. I'm proud of how clean it's staying. It's a large purse but it fits all the rubbish I've got inside it, including all the receipts I never clear out. My mum (mentioned again) needed a new purse a while back so I recommended it to her and she got it in a sky blue colour and now she's bought it for her mum, so that's three generations with this purse.
And finally, the general junk:
- Tablets - I actually have about 3 packs of paracetamol, 1 pack of ibuprofen and 2 packs of another type of tablets. You never know when you may need them. Usually it's someone else who is asking me for them.
- A hand bag table hanger thing that holds your handbag off the floor and hooks onto a table. Fantastic description. It the metal circular thing with the fake blue jem in it.
- Bodyspray
- Hand wipes - always very useful/hygenic
- Tissues - no one likes to keep sniffing. Actually, some people do and, in those cases, I really wish I could thrust one of my tissues under their nose and tell them to shut up.
- An umbrella - I live in Britain and I think that's enough said.
- A pen.
I hope you liked this different style of post!

Unfullfilled days
The past few days, which are turning into weeks, have been lazy. Unsatisfying-ly lazy.
'I don't know...' is becoming a standard start to every sentence I think, speak, act upon. I don't know who I am, where I am, what I'm doing. I'm just not with it at all. I'm waiting for the moment I snap back into reality but I don't know when that will be.
Confused.
So I'm trying to take each day at a time but my brain likes to wander and think ahead.
I'm unsatisfied with how my life is going at the moment. I want to be doing more with it, but I just don't know how. I want to do silly things like have the opportunity to dress up in nice, new (well, new to me), quirky outfits, and create excessive amounts of art that I don't even have enough wall space for them to occupy, and relax reading all the books I've wanted to read and books I don't even know I want to read yet.
Easier said than done...

January Book Review
This year I'm going to try and read as many books as I can and, seeing as January has gone so well as I have read three books and started a fourth, I thought I might do some mini reviews on each book.
The first book I read this month was 'Girl Online' by Zoe Sugg (Zoella). The book was a really easy read and I got quickly caught up in the storyline meaning I read it very quickly. The book is about a girl, Penny, who suffers from panic attacks and isn't having a great time at home and at school. She goes on holiday to New York over Christmas and that's where she meets Noah. I don't want to ruin the book for you. I would say the age range is for all teens, which I think is what the author intended. This is mainly due to the fact that it is quite simply written.
A great read when you don't want to think too much (or is it just me that likes those books?)
The second book was 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time' by Mark Haddon. It is a book narrated by a boy with autism. I have mentioned a different book about a boy with autism in my first book review (which you can see here) and this book reminded me of that. I find it really interesting being in the mind of and seeing the world from a different persons point of view. An issue that I have with books is that unless it is written in the first person I find it really hard to get into the book and actually finish it as I just get bored. Books that are written in the first person make me feel as if I am actually the character that the story is about so I can relate to it much more. I don't have autism but it allows me to see the world through this boys eyes. The way he acts out in public places and how he responds to other people's questions is so interesting and Haddon has portrayed it very well. The book is about a boy who finds his neighbour's dog dead and he is determined to discover who the murderer was, despite the fact that this gets him into unintentional trouble along the way. I definitely recommend this book as it was funny at times and is easy to pick up whenever and wherever you are.
The third and final fully read book from this month is 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' by Stephen Chbosky. I think I'm quite late on the band wagon of reading this book but I finally got round to it and overall I liked it. I wasn't blown away by it though. The book is about a boy called Charlie who has just started high school and lets just say he doesn't have the most fortunate life. The storyline is on the whole easy to follow and throws up lots of interesting parts that make you not want to put the book down but, unfortunately, it turns out that I didn't even fully understand the whole story even when I'd finished it. After finishing the book I decided to watch the film because I hadn't seen it and I liked to compare. However, if I hadn't watched the film I still wouldn't have fully understood the story now. Chbosky writes in a way that you have to understand and read into what is being written in the story without having to be told word for word but I believe this isn't very obviously portrayed in certain parts of the book. I do recommend reading the book, but watching the film after may be a necessity to full understand the story (unless that's just my naivety).
So those are the books I've read this month. I am intending on keeping up the reading but we will just have to see how well that goes down on whether you see anymore book reviews!
What books do you recommend?
